Clerk of the course

Clerk of the course is positive check-in: swimmers report to staging and are marked present before their event. It’s used mainly for championship-style meets where you need to scratch no-shows before seeding the final lanes.
Checking swimmers in
Section titled “Checking swimmers in”On the check-in screen for an event:
- Check a swimmer in when they report to staging — this stamps the time.
- Add a note if needed (e.g. “reported late, ref approved”). Clearing a check-in keeps the note.
- Each event has a check-in deadline; swimmers not checked in by then show as overdue.
How “overdue” is decided
Section titled “How “overdue” is decided”Overdue is derived on the clerk’s own device from the event deadline versus the clerk’s local clock — there’s no dependence on a server clock, so it stays correct on deck regardless of timezone.
Realtime
Section titled “Realtime”Check-in changes broadcast live, so the desk and the clerk stay in sync.
