Getting started

This guide is for the people who run a meet — the desk, the clerk of the course, coaches, and parents reading results. If you’re standing up your own copy of Piranha, start with Hosting & Administration.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”Your league or club administrator creates your account and sends an invite link. Click it, set a password, and sign in. If you’ve lost the link, ask an administrator to send a new one (see Accounts & access).
Most read-only views — heat sheets, live results, the announcer view — are public and need no account. You only sign in to change things.
The dashboard
Section titled “The dashboard”After signing in you land on the meet list. From here you can:
- open an existing meet to view or run it,
- create a new meet (if you have permission),
- jump to records and swimmer history.
Switching language
Section titled “Switching language”The language switcher is in the site header. The interface is translated into many languages; anything not yet translated falls back to English rather than showing a blank. The documentation works the same way.
What to read next
Section titled “What to read next”Follow the meet workflow in order, starting with Running a meet.
