Results & DQs

As heats finish, each lane gets a time or a status (DQ, no-show, scratch). When every lane in an event is resolved, you finalize it so it can be scored.

Entering results

• Times arrive automatically from a connected timing system, or are typed in per lane on the run screen.
• Record a DQ with its code (the app provides the DQ-code list). Clearing a status returns the lane to “needs a time.”
• The desk gets a prompt to collect and enter DQ slips while results are coming in, before finalizing.

Finalizing

When an event’s lanes are all resolved, it shows as ready to finalize. Finalizing marks the results official and makes them eligible for scoring. A notification lists events that are ready so nothing is missed.

Corrections

Result edits use optimistic locking. Timing-system imports always win over the last-seen version (they’re authoritative), so a re-import won’t be blocked by a stale edit.
